Full-time and Part-time availability This Hospitalist position offers: * Guaranteed shifts and hourly rate * 24 hr. shifts/month with 21+ days off a month * Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and Rx, STD, LTD k match * CME Allowance * Paid medical malpractice insurance with tail * No on-call duty or office management Southern Ocean Medical Center (SOMC) currently sees approximately 350 annual deliveries and 525 unscheduled outpatient visits. The childbirth centers are staffed 24-7 with experts specially trained in labor and delivery, including Anesthesiologists, Board-certified obstetricians, Magnet -recognized labor and delivery nurses and maternal-fetal medicine physicians who specialize in high-risk pregnancy. SOMC also offers expecting parents childbirth and infant care classes, as well as breastfeeding and lactation support. What Does an OBGYN Hospitalist Do? * Handle Ob emergencies/ Deliver babies * Collaborate with local physicians * Evaluate and treat triage patients * Provide leadership on L&D * Perform surgeries/ Surgical assists * Care for unassigned patients * Educate residents and Med students Leadership : Interested in becoming a physician leader?
