Philadelphia, Pennsylvania100% RemoteFull Time$160k - $165kWe are seeking a highly experienced Lead Infrastructure Engineer with a deep understanding of multi-cloud environments and automation to join our client, a global leader in [industry sector]. As part of the client's IT infrastructure team, you will play a critical role in architecting, deploying, and maintaining complex, multi-cloud infrastructure solutions that power their business operations worldwide.In this hands-on role, you will leverage your expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to lead the design and implementation of highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructure. You will work closely with DevOps, development teams, and security experts to automate infrastructure provisioning, optimize cloud usage, and ensure reliability across multiple cloud platforms.This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of strategic infrastructure initiatives, drive cloud transformation projects, and shape the future of cloud infrastructure for a dynamic organization.Key Responsibilities:Lead Infrastructure Design & Architecture: Own the architecture and design of multi-cloud infrastructure, ensuring it aligns with business goals, scalability requirements, and best practices across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms.Multi-Cloud Management: Develop and implement strategies for managing and optimizing resources across multiple cloud platforms, ensuring consistency, security, and cost-effectiveness.Automation & Orchestration: Drive the automation of infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, and CloudFormation to minimize manual intervention and improve infrastructure reliability.Continuous Improvement: Champion the adoption of DevOps best practices and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles. Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation processes that support seamless application delivery.Monitoring & Performance Optimization: Implement and maintain monitoring solutions to track infrastructure performance across cloud environments, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource usage and costs.Security & Compliance: Ensure robust security measures are integrated into infrastructure designs, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and vulnerability management across multi-cloud platforms. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Team Leadership & Mentoring: Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers, providing guidance, fostering collaboration, and driving team performance. Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team.Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Work closely with development, operations, security, and business teams to ensure infrastructure solutions meet the evolving needs of the business. Communicate infrastructure strategies and improvements to stakeholders.Troubleshooting & Incident Management: Take ownership of complex incidents and escalations related to infrastructure outages or performance issues, providing expert-level support and resolution.Requirements:Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with significant exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).Cloud Platforms: Strong hands-on experience with managing cloud resources and services across multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Experience in hybrid cloud or multi-cloud strategies is highly desirable.Automation Tools: Proven experience with automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Puppet for provisioning and managing infrastructure at scale.Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Expertise in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to enable automated, repeatable infrastructure deployments.CI/CD & DevOps: Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI. Experience in containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.Security & Compliance: Strong understanding of cloud security best practices, including network security, IAM, and data encryption. Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA) is beneficial.Networking: Knowledge of cloud networking concepts (VPCs, VPNs, peering, load balancers) and the ability to design and manage secure, scalable network architectures in a multi-cloud environment.Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver projects on time.Certifications (Preferred, but not required):AWS Certified Solutions Architect – ProfessionalAzure Solutions Architect ExpertGoogle Cloud Professional Cloud ArchitectHashiCorp Certified: Terraform AssociateCertified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)Soft Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
