If you want to discover a career with greater purpose, join us as we transform and accelerate research and development.As a Director, Business Development, you will be securing and retaining business through professional, consultative, proactive sales activities directed at decision-makers and decision influencers at existing and new clinical sponsors. What you’ll be doing:Prospecting and leveraging potential new business opportunities.Cultivating strong relationships with key decision-makers.Developing an in-depth understanding of the customer organization.Pursuing awareness of competitive activities, positioning, and pricing.Identifying potential opportunities and communicating them to management.Working with operations and functional managers to identify sales team and preparing and leading the sales presentation. Educating team participants in customer culture, operational needs/methods and sales techniques needed to close the sale.Handling follow-up related to the sale and completing contractual documents.Adapting successful strategies and tactics to meet market demands and financial targets.What We Are Looking For:Bachelor’s degree in business management.12 years related experience, including 5 years of relevant industry (CRO/Pharmaceutical) and/or sales experience.Sales experience in central laboratory servicesProven track record at mid-level and high-level contacts.Or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities needed for this role:Excellent Business/Industry awareness and a thorough understanding of industry trends and impact on the business.Solid understanding of commercialization and the principles of Centralized Laboratories and/or selling laboratory services.Selling into pharmaceutical industry highly preferred.Ability to influence others internally and externally.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.What We Offer You:We put our employees at the center of everything we do and are committed to providing them, and their families, with benefits that meet their diverse and changing needs. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
