Job DescriptionThe Vertex Co-op Program offers students the opportunity to learn about the pharmaceutical industry from a hands-on perspective. You will be working closely with and learning from some of the brightest people in the industry. Not only will co-ops learn about their day-to-day tasks through their specific work assignments, but they will interact and have exposure to our organizational leaders and their teams.Job Summary:The Tech Ops Packaging group supports the development, launch, and long-term maintenance of all packaging related activities, including support in selection of appropriate Contract Manufacturing Organizations to fulfill packaging related business needs. Key Responsibilities:Potential duties will include:Assisting in the preparation of plans, designs, methods of data collection, and reports.Creating materials and tools to support upcoming and ongoing process improvement initiatives, specifically the development of a project intake tool, including expected timelines for each task, to aide cross functional partners that require support from the packaging group.Conducting process mapping working sessions on business and technical processes to support the creation of the project intake tool.Testing of primary and secondary packaging components in support of various product launches in 2025, including drafting reports for review.Meet virtually with existing Contract Manufacturers and Material Suppliers.Qualifications:Preferred: Experience with Smart Sheets or PowerBIPursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in a Packaging Sciences or Packaging EngineeringInterests in pursuing a career in pharmaceutical packaging.Strong written communication skillsExperience with MS Office applications (Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc.)Planning and organizational skillsPermanent legal authorization to work in the United StatesCandidate must be enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating before May 2025Candidate must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week January-June 2025This job posting is for a temporary role with a third-party agency partner that provides services to Vertex.  The individual selected for this role will be offered the role as an employee of that third-party agency; compensation, medical benefits, fringe benefits and other terms and conditions of employment shall be presented by the third-party agency upon offer.
