ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY * Coverage start date: Dec 1, 2024 start * Reason for Coverage : Cardiothoracic Surgery Coverage * Practice Setting : Office/ Hospital/ OR/ Rounding * Call Schedule : After office hours and weekends * Trauma Level/Designation : n/a * Number of Operating Rooms: 1 * Documentation System/EMR: Epic * Patient Age Demographic: Adult 18+ * Scope of Services Required : Adult Cardiac Surgery, General Thoracic Surgery * Travel and Lodging: Covered * Board Certification (American Board of Thoracic Surgery) - REQUIRED * Active VA license & DEA - REQUIRED , no exceptions * BLS/ACLS - REQUIRED * Fellowship Training - REQUIRED REQUIRED DUTIES/PROCEDURES * Aortic Surgery Procedures Required: Descending Aortic Aneurysms Coronary * Artery Bypass Surgery Procedures Required: CABG, Redo Coronary Revascularization(With or Without Heart Valve Surgery), Arterial Revascularization(Using Internal Mammary Arteries, Radial Artery and Gastroepiploic Artery), Pericardial Window, Tube Thoracostomy, Thoracic aortic aneurysms * Thoracic Endoscopy Procedures Required: Flexible and Rigid Bronchoscopy, Thoracotomy Lung Resections and Pneumonectomy, Chest Wall Resection and Reconstruction, Mediastinal Surgery * Vascular Surgery Procedures Required: Heart Valve Repair/Replacement Surgery, Heart Valve Replacement Without Surgery (CoreValve System), Mitral Valve Repair Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 90 - 120 days; EMERGENCY TEMP PRIVS AVAILABILE FOR DEC 1 START
