Specialty : Surgery - Cardiothoracic Start date : ASAP ; End date : Ongoing Coverage type: Call + Clinic SCHEDULE : * Monday - Friday 7 am - 3:30 pm clinic/OR & 24hr call * Coverage start date: Dec 1, 2024 start JOB DESCRIPTION : * Reason for Coverage: Cardiothoracic Surgery Coverage * Practice Setting: Office/ Hospital/ OR/ Rounding * Call Schedule: After office hours and weekends * Trauma Level/Designation: n/a * Number of Operating Rooms: 1 * Documentation System/EMR: Epic * Patient Age Demographic: Adult 18+ * Scope of Services Required: Adult Cardiac Surgery, General Thoracic Surgery * REQUIRED DUTIES/PROCEDURES : * Aortic Surgery Procedures Required: Descending Aortic Aneurysms * Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery Procedures Required: CABG, Redo Coronary Revascularization(With or Without Heart Valve Surgery), Arterial Revascularization(Using Internal Mammary Arteries, Radial Artery and Gastroepiploic Artery), Pericardial Window, Tube Thoracostomy, Thoracic aortic aneurysms * Thoracic Endoscopy Procedures Required: Flexible and Rigid Bronchoscopy, Thoracotomy Lung Resections and Pneumonectomy, Chest Wall Resection and Reconstruction, Mediastinal Surgery * Vascular Surgery Procedures Required: Heart Valve Repair/Replacement Surgery, Heart Valve Replacement Without Surgery (CoreValve System), Mitral Valve Repair SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS : * Board Certification (American Board of Thoracic Surgery) - REQUIRED * Active VA license & DEA - REQUIRED, no exceptions * BLS/ACLS - REQUIRED * Fellowship Training - REQUIRED
