JOB REQUIREMENTS: Human Resource Generalist Job Locations US-WI-West Bend Job ID 2024-3775 # of Openings 1 Category Human Resources Type Regular Full-Time Overview Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resource Generalist is primarily responsible for the administration of the various HR functions of our WEST BEND, WISCONSIN location. Responsible for maintaining systems, communicating with Plant Manager, shift/department managers, employee relations, recruitment, communicating information, building relationships and providing the best level of customer service that we can for our employees and managers. Responsibilities Day to day HR department functions for the West Bend location; Work closely with Plant Manager and Department Managers resolving issues; Handle questions and concerns from employees and provide great support and service; Primarily responsible for payroll processing for employees at this location; Conduct investigations and issuing appropriate employee discipline as needed; Oversee employee attendance, FMLA, Work Comp issues and communicating with Managers; Participate in full cycle recruitment including posting jobs, interviewing candidates, screening resumes and applications, performing background and employment checks and making job offer; Creating and updating job descriptions for all plant personnel; Work with team to conduct new hire orientation; Ensure compliance with employment laws, policies and practices; Handle employee benefit enrollment and questions regarding all benefit plans; manage annual benefit open enrollment for all employees; Facilitate all aspects of employee discipline and terminations, including preparing paperwork for unemployment claims; Auditing daily time & attendance approvals using Kronos for production employees; process payroll and experience with creating reports from Kronos and ADP; Special projects for compliance; Ability to make suggestions and work with team on improvements in all aspects of HR and employee relations; Develop understanding of company culture, and be an advocate of the culture each day. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications 4 plus years HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing setting; Experience with payroll, recruiting, employee discipline/investigations; Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the company; Able to make independent decisions and the ability to set priorities for the best interest of the organization. Education and/or Experience Advanced knowledge/skills of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint preferred. Payroll software experience required. SAP, Kronos, or other ERP softward experience preferred.
