Maintenance Manager

Vaco is seeking an experienced and dedicated Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations of our large-scale food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all machinery, equipment, and facilities are maintained to the highest standards, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management: Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians and engineers, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Maintenance Operations: Plan, coordinate, and execute all maintenance activities, including preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance.
- Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all production equipment, ensuring it operates at peak efficiency. This includes managing spare parts inventory and coordinating with vendors and contractors.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA, FDA, and other relevant safety and regulatory standards.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the maintenance budget, including tracking expenses and optimizing costs.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement and promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and improve overall plant performance.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs. Generate regular reports on maintenance performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of maintenance management experience in the food manufacturing industry or a similar environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems. Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is highly desirable.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with food safety standards, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), and other regulatory requirements.
