Position Summary:
The Behavior Technician (BT) is a paraprofessional with specialized training primarily responsible for the direct implementation of skill acquisition and behavior reduction plans. A BT must have the ability to work with students with behavior challenges. The role of the BT is to provide 1:1 behavioral intervention to teach communication, social, and daily living skills and reduce problematic behaviors in throughout the school setting. Behavior Technicians will utilize interventions developed out of the science of Applied Behavior Analysis. BT's will also be required to collect data and maintain regular contact with the student's special education team regarding patterns of behavior, including progress and new/emerging behaviors. BT's must complete PMT training.

Candidates Must Have:
- Two years of college credit (60 credits) OR an Associate's (or higher) degree, OR have successfully passed the Paraprofessional Assessment test.
- One-year experience working with or training to work with children with disabilities required, experience working with students with ASD preferred.
- College credits with emphasis on child growth/development, psychology, social work, or related area is preferred.
- Demonstrates strong basic skills in English, reading, math, writing and other subjects.
- PMT Trained
- Successful Completion of 40 hours online RBT course including passing the Competency Assessment with Compliance Supervisor.
