HR Generalist (Temp to Perm)

Position Summary: The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level. This position carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: human resources activities, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy design and implementation, recruitment, employment law compliance and compensation and benefits administration. The HR Generalist will work with department leaders to anticipate and meet the evolving HR needs of Ob Hospitalist Group.

I. Human Resources Generalist Position Responsibilities: Essential
  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and system improvements
  • Maintain Human Resources Information System data, additional records, and compile reports from database.
  • Accurately update HR systems with employment information and status changes.
  • Develop and maintain assigned HRIS projects.
  • Administer and maintain HR systems with pay rate changes.
  • Maintain appropriate records and files for the department.
  • Assists with the maintenance of employee electronic personnel files.
  • Create employee contracts using approved template.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals.
  • Establish trust and credibility for HR through daily interactions and quality of work.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Handle confidential/sensitive information with professionalism and care.
  • Assists and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Partners with HR team members on various human resources related projects including HRIS, auditing, compensation, and benefit programs, etc.
  • Perform other related HR duties as required and assigned.
II. Essential Skills/Credentials/Experience/Education for Human Resources Generalist Position
  • Five plus (5+) years of Human Resources experience in a generalist or similar role.
  • Ability to problem solve, apply reason, take initiative, use judgment, and perform multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and comfort level using various HRIS programs.
III. Preferred Skills/Credentials/Experience/Education of Human Resources Generalist
  • Four-year degree in business or human resources preferred.

Physical Demands:
  • Sitting for long periods of time. Occupation requires this activity more than 66% of the time (5.5+ hours/day
Travel Demands:
  • May require up to 10% of time traveling
Salary Compensation: $66,000 - $70,000
