Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform general accounting functions and other related duties in the accounting department.
- Prepares balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts.
- A key player in month-end close procedures
- Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts verifies deposit and addresses inquiries from banks.
- Complete debt covenant compliance calculations
- Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections.
- Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
- Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary documents to facilitate annual audits.
- Coordinate with software vendors to maintain accounting software system; recommends updates to enhance the accounting software.
- Perform other ad-hoc projects as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Three to five years of accounting experience required.
- Experience in banking / financial institutions (preferably)
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Highly proficient with accounting software
- Financial statement analytical ability
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
