Our client, a prominent General Contractor with a strong presence in the Baltimore area, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to oversee their multifamily construction projects. Description
- Oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are executed according to plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and construction crews, ensuring efficient and productive work on site.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment for all personnel on site.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
- Lead daily and weekly on-site meetings with the project team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to review progress, address challenges, and plan upcoming activities.
- Resolve any issues that arise on the job site, including conflicts between subcontractors, unexpected site conditions, or changes in project scope.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and logs.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration throughout the project.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and budgets.
Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, with a strong focus on multifamily projects.
- Extensive knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials specific to multifamily construction.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale construction projects from start to finish, with a demonstrated history of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse group of workers and subcontractors.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
- Proficiency with construction management software and tools, including Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey information to a variety of stakeholders.
