This position can be in UT or remote (preferably in Southwestern US area).
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
- Generate new Sales from existing and new customers with a particular focus on defense aerospace, space, and launcher market opportunities. Work closely with cross-functional teams as the 'voice of the customer' to create strategies, establish priorities, and manage the sales deliverable process.
- Lead the development of customer solutions by performing analysis of customer needs and available resources. Lead the interface with the customer and internal resources to keep both apprised of key issues and concerns. Leverage resources and knowledge of products, services, processes, and operations to support customer commitments, gain competitive advantages and foster business growth.
- Ability to establish relationships with key customer contacts. Build collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams. Adapt communication style and techniques to a variety of communication channels including virtual, written, or face to face communication.
- Own sales forecast for associated customers. Lead and coordinate efforts to obtain forecast inputs directly from customer. Use ERP tools to enter and maintain forecast through direct input or in collaboration with internal teams. Communicate all risks associated with forecast changes or inaccuracies in a timely manner.
- Lead effective pre-sales prospecting and the ability to sell business value to customer decision makers. Ensure alignment of selling strategy to company or product roadmaps. Knowledge of negotiation principles and participate in negotiation in support role.
- Develop deep knowledge of Hexcel products by seeking information internally and externally. Understands how customers value Hexcel and competitive offerings and formulate strategy to effectively position our products.
- Effectively communicate pursuit strategy for a customer opportunity. Recognize total near-term and lifecycle value of an opportunity and client.
- Engage, support industry organizations to develop and generate new leads.
- Develop / maintain growth pursuits using CRM.
- Up to 50% domestic travel.
- Bachelor's degree in business, aerospace, chemical or mechanical engineering or related discipline from a four-year college or university and 5+ years' experience in sales, business development or related.
- Demonstrated experience with new sales development and customers.
- Experience with contract negotiations, supply chain and project management.
- Track record of developing and delivering creative solutions that overcome obstacles and enhance profitability.
- Understanding of basic commercial and financial principles.
- MS Office Suite skills including MS Word, advanced Excel and PowerPoint, Teams, Dynamics365 as well as ERP/MRP experience.
