We are looking for a result driven Procurement leader with a passion for driving value, who wants to join our company mission to save and sustain lives.In this role, you will be responsible for leading Supply Chain and Logistics Procurement US and global contracts, with a total spend in excess of $250M+ reporting direct to the Associate Director of Procurement – Logistic & Supply Chain. This position will be responsible for leading procurement excellence and driving best value through our supply chain, with key focus on cost, quality, and service for our US Region and additionally for our global categories, such as ocean and air freight. The leader in this role will continuously and proactively investigate new suppliers/technologies as inputs into our value funnel, supporting our organizational goals while helping to improve patient outcomes.What you'll be doingDrives value by leveraging the strategic sourcing process including but not limited to RFI/RFP processes, should cost models, industry benchmarking, and scenario optimization for the US Region and global contracts.Ability to understand and excel within a global supply chain given market dynamics, category complexity, and supply risk management.Develops and executes category strategies in line with driving best value (cost, quality, and service) across our supply chain.Develops and executes negotiation strategies for supply agreements/contracts ensuring supplier accountability, contractual excellence, and service.Builds critical stakeholder relationships across the Supply Chain and Logistics Team, creating a rapport built on trust, respect, and value delivery.Lead the supplier selection, risk assessment and contract negotiation process for key projects.Collaborate with internal partners and use these relationships to lead category strategies, pipeline items and short/medium/long-term goals to support the ongoing delivery of product pipeline.Ensure that appropriate Supplier Relationship Management programs are in place for strategic and critical suppliers in the concerned categories of spend.Provide regular progress updates to Senior Leadership and to key internal partners.Lead negotiations across critical supply agreements using strong value-based techniques.Monitor, track and report on savings and incremental value of sourcing activities.Stimulate and support innovation by using the supplier base, regularly reviewing market developments, and mobilizing the appropriate internal network.Ensure assumptions, risks and opportunities are identified, monitored, and reported on to ensure flawless execution.What you'll bringBachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering or related areas required, preference for Master’s degreeAt least 10 years of industry-related experienceAbility to communicate, influence, and negotiate across the network and build credibility – Supply Chain, Logistic, Commercial, R&D, ManufacturingAbility to coordinate multiple parallel sourcing initiatives across different business groups.Strong analytic and negotiation skills.Understanding of pricing models and contracts terms.Experience in contracting includes but not be limited to Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, Amendments and NDAs.Understanding of Procurement standard processes, supply markets, suppliers and products.Experience working in a global environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.Effective verbal and written communicationEnglish speaker, second language desirableTravel Required (Domestic & International) - up to 20%What do we offer:Competitive salary, annual bonus and recognition award program.Corporate culture based on our values: collaboration, speed, courage and simplicity.Possibilities for development on a personal and professional level in one of the leading global MedTech companies.Baxter is committed to supporting the need for flexibility in the workplace. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $136,000 to $170,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
