Job DescriptionCentral Bank is seeking an experienced Chief Commercial Banking Services and Payments Officer to lead our Commercial Banking product and sales division. As the Chief Commercial Banking Services and Payments Officer, you will work under the direction of the CEO of Central Bancompany. You will be responsible for the strategic direction and success of the following divisions:  Commercial Product team, Commercial Payments team, Commercial Sales Management team, and the company’s HSA division – HSA Central.OverviewFounded in 1902, Central Bank is a $20 Billion, multi-state regional banking organization headquartered in Jefferson City, Missouri. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing product effectiveness, optimizing operations, spearheading development, and guiding the strategic payments roadmap within the Commercial Banking Division. You will oversee a team of dedicated professionals, who strive to provide our clients with the best products, while providing legendary service.  The team today is comprised of 4 direct reports who manage approximately 40 professionals serving our customer and supporting our product lines.In this role you will work closely with many divisions to support our growth, collaborating with the centralized Operations division, Digital, Marketing, Market CEOs, and Business Bankers across our footprint.If you are ready to embark on your next adventure, while welcoming change, innovation, and continuous improvement, come join us as we step into the future of banking.Responsibilities: Lead strategic planning and product development within the commercial payment division to ensure alignment with the organization's vision, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.Collaborate across business lines to enhance cross-functionality and integration of payment solutions, focusing on efficiency and effectiveness for all stakeholders.Spearhead initiatives in emerging payment trends, particularly real-time payments, developing use cases and complementary products to stay ahead of market demands.Conduct strategic assessments and benchmarks to identify and bridge gaps in cost, technology, performance, and usability of current products.Manage a comprehensive product portfolio, including small business and commercial credit cards, ACH, wires, and other payment methods.Manages end-to-end product management ensuring product managers understand product risks and controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining the highest standards of security and reliability.Establish and maintain strategic partnerships and maintain active engagement with industry media, conferences, and key stakeholders to enhance market positioning and innovation.Represent the bank in industry working groups and forums to influence and adapt to strategic payment initiatives and trends.Direct product modernization and lifecycle management efforts from ideation to retirement, ensuring products are profitable, compliant, and aligned with client needs and emerging technologies.Build and lead a client-focused team that embodies entrepreneurial spirit, driving the delivery of superior payment solutions and service.Oversee the division’s profit and loss in collaboration with the Controller and CFO, and partner with Operations to drive process improvements and operational efficiency through automation and enhanced controls.Execute comprehensive analyses of product profitability and revenue cycles.Manage effective vendor relationships to ensure products align with strategic company goals.Perform additional duties as assigned to support the evolving needs of the commercial banking division.Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Business, Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other applicable fields; a Master’s degree or MBA is highly preferredMinimum of 15  years of experience in commercial banking or payment solutions, with at least  10 years in a strategic or leadership role.Proven track record of managing and launching successful products, especially in the areas of credit cards, ACH, wires, and other payment technologies.Deep understanding of current and emerging payment technology trends, including real-time payments (NACHA, EPCOR, or Faster Payments Council membership preferred).Experience with commercial payment services such as FedNow, The Clearing House, ACH- NACHA, SWIFT, ISO 20022, or other commercial payment platforms preferred.Strong analytical skills, with experience in product profitability and revenue cycle analysis.Demonstrated experience in product lifecycle management from concept to retirement.Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in the banking and financial services industry.Active involvement and membership in NACHA, EPCOR, or Faster Payments Council a plus.Experience in strategic planning, vision, and road mapping.Excellent leadership qualities, capable of building, motivating, and leading a team towards achieving strategic objectives.Strong negotiation and relationship management skills to effectively deal with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and business partners.Clear and effective communication skills, adept at presenting complex information in a comprehensible manner to various audiences.Strong analytical and organizational skills.Demonstrable commercial products industry knowledge Industry certifications preferred but not required (AAP, APRP, or CTP).Job DetailsJob Type: Full Time - RegularCategory: Commercial Banking
