Eaton’s Corporate Sector is hiring a Global Category Manager - Electronics Components. Preferred locations are Beachwood, OH, Moon Township PA or Southfield, MI. The role is available as hybrid within any Eaton location in the US. This position requires up to 30% to 40% travel.The Global Category Manager - Electronics Components is responsible for developing and implementing an enterprise-wide supply strategy for the procurement and management of our electronics components spend and supply base. Position Overview:Reporting to the Director for Global Procurement, this position will lead a global team of Category Managers supporting the Electronics Components category. This position is responsible for leveraging Eaton's global spend and pro-actively managing the supply base to optimize their impact on Eaton's annual profitability. Addressable spend across the globe is estimated to be roughly $400M. The total supplier interaction is 400 global suppliers across North America, Europe and Asia.Job Responsibilities:    •    Negotiate and manage suppliers worldwide in accordance with global practices and industry regulatory requirements.•    Ensure that key metrics for the procurement function (Cost Out, Resiliency, DPO, supplier consolidation, Diversity Spend, Sustainably, etc.) are achieved. •    Develop and execute a sourcing strategy alignment with the Eaton Enterprise Strategy.•    Leverage spend to negotiate better prices and payment term contracts, long term agreement, MPA, etc.•    Ensure that high level of quality and delivery performance is maintained by suppliers/associated partners at all times.•    Leverage existing supplier relationships, identify new supplier opportunities and work to consolidate the supply base.•    Analyze spend by conducing RFQs, ERFQs, E-Auctions, and should costing.•    Align with the business manufacturing leaders regarding make vs. buy and insourcing / outsourcing of electronics components.   •    Lead continuous improvement events for driving pipeline activities and implemented cost savings (e.g. VAVE, Value Stream Mapping, etc.). •    Collaborate with Category Managers on should cost models and help set the stage for supplier negotiations.•    Work closely with electronics components suppliers as well as internal Eaton manufacturing facilities to make sure that Eaton plants are supplied at all times at the most competitive price.Qualifications:Required Qualifications:•    Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or related field from an accredited institution is required. •    Minimum 10 years of experience in electronics manufacturing/sourcing for electronic assemblies or components.•    Manager of people experience.•    Multisite, regional, or divisional management experience is required.•    Travel up to 30% to 40% (minimum 1-2 times per month) required.•    Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future.•    No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of any Eaton location within the US.
