This is a rare opportunity for someone looking to move into a

Medication Assisted Treatment Physician role, with training!

MAT patients require care in a highly specialized and quality-focused environment. Our teams within Indiana Comprehensive Treatment Centers are seeking to add a like-minded licensed physician to their diverse and dynamic team.

  

Overview:

The Physician is responsible for the provision of medical services to patients including prescribing, dispensing and administration of medication for the treatment of substance abuse in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. Responsible for medical management of patients at all levels of care provided by the clinic. Conduct complete physicals, provide treatment and counsel to patients. Provides medical oversight to the nursing department under the guidance of the Medical Director and Clinic Director.



Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for providing medical care for prescribing, dispensing and administration of medication to patients at the clinic, and within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility or clinic policy or procedures;
  • Performs physical exams on patients admitted for medication maintenance to establish medical diagnosis for acute and chronic health problems;
  • Reviews medical information on patients to ensure medical stability, eligibility for program, and to offer medical recommendations;
  • Ensuring that all patients are aware of the hazards of the medication treatment program;
  • Evaluates patient care, adjusting the plan of care based on outcomes, diagnostic test results and patient feedback;
  • Provides patient and staff education on medical maintenance;
  • Reviews and completes medical information for individual care plans, documenting services and information in a timely manner, maintaining appropriate confidential documentation, compliance, and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures;
  • Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, CARF standards, and clinic policy and procedure; and,
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintains them over time; and,
  • Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team member


Qualifications:
  • Licensed Physician in the state of -Indiana
  • Experience in Medication Assisted Treatment not required

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current license to practice medicine by the state in which the clinic(s) operates
  • Current DEA credentials required to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working
