ABA Behavior Technician - Chesterfield, VA

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Behavior Technician is primarily responsible for working one-on-one with a child with autism, or similar disabilities, inside the child's home or clinic. The ability to follow directions and maintain a professional demeanor at all times is critical for this position. During the first 4 weeks, staff are expected to complete all trainings, complete the competency assessment, and take the RBT exam. Following the training period, staff will be expected to bill 28 hours within a 40-hour work week. This may be a combination of clinic and in home sessions. Staff will also be expected to complete other indirect work such as entering data, updating paperwork, cleaning/organizing, and attending supervisions and trainings.
Hours are varied between 8:15a-7:30p
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Implement daily therapeutic activities under the direct supervision and delegation of a Behavior Analyst.
• Implement Individualized Service Plans with clients and client families/caregivers as delegated by a Behavior Analyst.
• Pass and obtain the RBT certification.
• Coordinate with other service providers working with clients to encourage consistency among client families/caregivers and all providers.
• Complete all required documentation including behavioral data, daily notes, and weekly billing records in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure all documentation on assigned clients meets Medicaid and other federal, state, or BACB required regulations.
• Develop program materials and ensure appropriate materials are available during client sessions.
• Participate in supervision on a weekly basis with a Behavior Analyst or Assistant Behavior Analyst to discuss client updates, progress, or concerns.
• Attend and participate in all scheduled staff meetings and trainings.
• Provide transportation of client as needed as part of natural environment sessions.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures and complete other tasks deemed necessary for the successful operation of the program.
• Maintain professional and ethical standards at all time

QUALIFICATIONS
- 18 years of age or older
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services Field OR
- High School Diploma or GED AND eligibility to pass the Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) exam
- Experience working with children; experience with children with developmental disabilities and/or autism preferred
- Able to work on toilet training with children
- If no prior ABA experience, willingness to learn
- Valid Virginia Driver's License
- Reliable personal cell phone
