Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Geologist to join our non-operated team. The ideal candidate will have a background in geological evaluation, reservoir characterization, and subsurface mapping. This role involves working closely with our multidisciplinary team to optimize exploration and development efforts. This position is located in downtown Houston, TX. Hybrid work schedule is an option for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Level and salary commensurate with experience.

Essential Job Functions
- Understanding of geological principles, reservoir characterization, and subsurface mapping.
- Conduct geological evaluations and reservoir characterization for assets in the Bakken, Marcellus, and DJ Basins.
- Develop and interpret subsurface maps and geological models.
- Predict well performance for projects and maintain type curve areas for each project
- Prepare geological reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Participate in due diligence for acquisitions and divestitures, providing geological assessments and technical support.
- Assistance, as needed, in non op deal flow and evaluation in current basins as well as other basins.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in geology and reservoir management.
- Perform pre-drill execution risk assessment on all proposed new drills.
- Utilize emerging Data Analytics/Machine Learning methods.
- Continuous improvement to our best practices and workflows.
- Maintenance of geologic databases internally.
- Additional duties as needed by management and Company operations
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geology / Geological Engineering or a related field
- Three (3) years of exploration and production experience
- Proficiency in geological software and tools such as Petrel, Kingdom, or equivalent
- Experience in evaluation and development of unconventional resources
- Strong team building skills and ability to communicate effectively across all functions in the organization
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing company
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry files weighing up to 10 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone

- Five (5) years of exploration and production experience
- Experience in Marcellus, Bakken, or DJ Basins
