CSI Recruiting is currently seeking a Senior Exploration Geophysicist / Geologist to work with an independent E&P company in Denver. Client is engaged in the exploration, development, acquisition and production of oil and natural gas reserves in domestic conventional and some unconventional basins in and around South Texas and the Gulf Coast. Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Conventional oil and gas exploration and development experience.
- Unconventional oil and gas exploration and development experience
- Experience interpreting and integrating diverse vintages of 2D/3D/4D seismic with well log analysis
- Ability to identify sweet spots and prospects using seismic amplitude anomalies, AVO responses and geological concepts in conventional plays
- Strong geomodeling, stratigraphy, well planning and geological operations experience
- Experience in prospect identification, seismic interpretation, synthetic well ties, velocity modeling, seismic amplitude and attribute analysis, quantitative seismic evaluation, and crucial interdisciplinary integration between geology and geophysics will be desired.
- Geologic and Geophysical Exploration experienced with interpreting conventional 3D seismic surveys
- Experience developing prospects in 3D surveys utilizing PSTM, PSDM, and AVO offset data sets
- Experience working with direct detect methodology of oil and gas resources
- Responsible for adding value to existing acreage through prospect and regional-level subsurface mapping and identification of drilling/re-completion opportunities.
- Responsible for adding new growth opportunities by prospect generation and industry deal screening in company focus areas.
- Required to perform high quality, integrated project evaluations in a timely manner utilizing PETRA and Geographix software.
- Interpret project data in an efficient and timely manner.
- Perform workstation interpretation on company projects, petrophysical well-log interpretation, screen and evaluate industry generated prospects.
- Effectively communicate project evaluations and recommendations.
- Ability to prepare and communicate technical information effectively to management ensuring effective decisions can be made, and ability to present prospects effectively to industry partners.
- Effectively coordinate and manage well-site preparation and operations.
- Communicate with other departments, partners and government agencies on pre and post drilling requirements, and effectively work with well-site personnel and industry partners during logging, coring and geo-steering operations.
- Work with other disciplines, interact effectively within teams, assume leadership role and provide mentoring as needed.
- Bachelor & Master's Degree in Geophysics / Geology
- Between 10-20 years of E & P experience working for independent operators as an in-house Geophysicist / Geologist focused on onshore assets.
- Highly developed multi-tasking and organizational skills - both assessing and managing priorities.
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial spirit possessing excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
