Buyer/Planner Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer/Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience in a semiconductor or manufacturing environment and will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials and the planning of production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products. Responsibilities: Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to place purchase orders at designated lead time. Recommend opportunities for volume discounts with suppliers for high frequency items. Update Purchase Order records with lead times, expected delivery dates, delays, and early shipments where appropriate. Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery. Maintain supplier record information with current lead time, pricing, MOQs, etc. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing. Process internal purchase requisitions for new product development. Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to release scheduled work orders. Analyze demand forecasts and adjust production plans accordingly. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in procurement and production planning. Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in a buyer/planner role within a manufacturing environment. Semiconductor industry experience preferred. Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is a plus. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
