As the Lab Manager at A-Gas, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing safe and efficient lab operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory management, experience with gas analysis techniques, extensive knowledge of Gas Chromatography, and a passion for driving innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Have a safety-first mentality
- Ensure processes and best practices are in place to ensure the lab is running in an efficient manner
- Maintain and/or obtain proper lab certifications
- Coordinate testing and scheduling with Plant Superintendent, and independent customers, to ensure timely response time, and production schedules are met
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses on incoming and outgoing products for quality control
- Ensure proper documentation is obtained and Certificates of Analysis are provided as required
- Create, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures
- Supervise Chemists on the first and Second Shift
- Ensure laboratory equipment and inventory levels for laboratory supplies are maintained
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in chemistry or similar field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in laboratory setting
- Minimum of 2 years in supervisory or management role.
- Intimate knowledge of Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry analysis.
- Knowledge of wet-chemical analysis and techniques.
- Experience establishing and developing laboratories to meet all industry-specific requirements (AHRI and CARB)
- Previous experience in ISO and AHRI certifications and gas analysis preferred
