Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this role will serve as the leader of all supply chain and material management activities for A-Gas in North America. This role is accountable for successfully planning inventory levels, product flow, and inventory turns to ensure company objectives are met and/or exceeded. You will lead a team of logistics, supply chain, and procurement professionals in order to exceed customer expectations, with the highest level of quality at an optimized cost position. You will be responsible for all key planning and inventory management activities across the business working with leadership teams globally, to establish key supply chain relationships with vendors and strategic suppliers.

Work Location

Onsite in Rhome, Texas (Fort Worth area) may require some travel to other US facilities.

Key Responsibilities

This role must possess extensive experience and demonstrated success in multi-site master scheduling, forecasting, purchasing, distribution, and production control. Including, the ability to combine functional and analytical expertise with management/leadership skills sufficient to empower teams and peers in realizing successful business results.

Responsible for inventory management for all raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods for the business.

Improve upon the Sales Inventory Operation Planning (SIOP) for the business. Supports the company's initiatives to work smarter with existing inventories, while balancing the need to support peak demand seasons.

Collaborates on the company's initiatives to develop strategic projects to drive cost efficiencies which have a visible impact on the bottom line. Uses Six Sigma and LEAN methodologies to identify, plan, resource, prioritize, and execute these programs for A-Gas.

Create and implement a supplier program that takes actions to reduce costs and focus on creating greater efficiencies, economies of scale, or better quality resources for project teams, departments, or SBUs.

Provides input to plans and strategies for a business unit, department or project to satisfy internal clients.

Responsible for the DIFOT (Delivered In-Full On-Time).

Manage Monthly meetings with Transport providers to review DIFOT performance.

Identify weak points and areas for improvement.

Cross-check the Transport provider's results.

Follow up on any issues affecting the achievement of DIFOT Targets with commentary to senior management.

Experience, Knowledge, and Qualifications

Essential

Bachelor's degree Required, MBA preferred with experience in developing and leading supply chain, and inventory management programs.

Experienced leader who will work with their team.

Expert experience with managing supply chain/purchasing relationships with global and regional suppliers.

Strong communications skills, with the ability to manage communications both upwards and downwards, both internally and externally.

Experience leading domestic logistics management, both FTL and LTL.

Ability to implement Lean/Six Sigma ideas to drive the culture of continuous improvement.

Must be highly skilled in analysis utilizing excel. Previous experience in SAP preferred.

Desirable

An excellent understanding of issues presented by international logistics.

A sound understanding of regulated systems such as ISO 9000, 14000 and 18000.

Experience of dealing with regulatory bodies such as DOT, OSHA, and EPA.

Experience of handling and setting of budgets and financial performance parameters.

Experience of working within the Specialty Gases, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning industry.

Understanding of basic engineering principles, including interpretation of drawings, Quality Documentation, and inspection.
