Independence Plus is now hiring a full-time Human Resource Manager. This position will be based out of our Oak Brook, IL (DuPage County) office and reports to our Vice President of Patient and Employee Relations.

This position reports to the Vice President of Patient and Employee Relations and supervises the HR Generalist and Talent Acquisition Specialists, with opportunity to advance to Human Resource Business Partner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Builds and monitors employee perceptions and experiences
- Manages benefit enrollment and recruiting for field and administrative employees
- Designs and tracks employee retention programs
- Assures legal compliance with state and federal regulations, including wages, salaries, and benefit regulations plus interviewing and recruiting
- Oversees HR compliance and responsible for personnel records, ensuring that they are accurate, complete, confidential, and follow all necessary regulations
- Drafts communication to staff regarding payroll, benefits, and process change
- Assists Vice President of Patient and Employee Relations and Corporate Controller, as well as partnering with Directors, Quality Assurance, and Finance staff as necessary to ensure coordination, understanding and professionalism
- Gathers, collates, and reports key statistics through the effective utilization of information systems
- Onboards new administrative hires and oversees onboarding of field employees
- Evaluates the cost-effectiveness of the implementation of various HR decisions and reports all concerns to the Vice President of Patient and Employee Relations and other staff as necessary
- Provides suggestions related to strategic human resource planning and allocation for improved fiscal and organizational viability
- Demonstrates insight, sensitivity, confidentiality, and team building working with candidates, staff, management, and executive personnel
- Manages change while establishing trust by promoting open communication and deescalating stress
- Motivates all staff to identify goals and function well while promoting patient care
- Other duties as requested and required to fully perform the position
Requirements
- Minimum of bachelor's degree; HR certification preferred
- At least three to five years of experience in human resources including recruiting and benefit and communication management
- Experience working with Microsoft Office (intermediate Excel knowledge preferred)
- Knowledge of Paylocity software with experience in KanTime a plus
- Solid skills for supervision, team building, and communication
- Knowledge of corporate business management, governmental regulations, and accreditation standards
