About the role:

OLIVER is hiring an experienced Associate Director of Social to join our new in-house social media team of a leading wine & spirits client. If you are a social savvy experienced professional with a solid understanding of Meta and Pinterest platforms, we want to meet you! Our ideal candidate will have exceptional written and oral communication skills along with a strong background working on social channels and platform related tools. You must also have prior experience in producing engaging content and creative social media. In this role you will be responsible for leading the team of community managers who will be fostering social communities through Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and more. Working closely under the supervision of the Senior Business Director, you will be representing our brands across social platforms by overseeing all content development. This role is about engaging, building and proactively managing a positive social media presence across the portfolio. You must bring a creative flair and excellent written skills. Working closely with our brands, you will oversee content development, community management, risk management as well as reporting across the portfolio.
What you will be doing:
  • Manage three community managers who are responsible for a portfolio of brands social handles
  • Partner with the client social media lead on overall portfolio strategy development and execution
  • Be a path of escalation for any social content needs
  • Develop, create and deploy timely and engaging content optimized for the platform and the intended audience
  • Design and ideate content calendars, including content themes, for all social media channels
  • Monitor platforms for customer service opportunities and escalate to internal guest relations and crisis departments
  • Conduct social listening across key platforms to help identify content opportunities and mentions about the brand/service/product
  • Manage communities and engage users on various social platforms on behalf of clients
  • Monitor competitor accounts to leverage as key learnings and data points
  • Analyze, track, and measure performance against KPI's and present data to client stakeholders
  • Keep up to date with the latest social trends & tools, leveraging them for social campaigns
  • Continue to refine and define our clients' social media marketing processes
What you need to be great in this role:
  • 5+ years of experience managing and delivering successful social media campaigns in an advertising agency setting is preferred
  • Experience managing a team
  • Strong client management / account management background
  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven work experience as a Community/Social Manager/Content Manager with verifiable successful work examples
  • 5+ years of experience building audiences and engagement through social media
  • Possess a strong understanding of social platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube and more
  • Experience, running, monitoring and reporting on social campaigns successfully
  • Experience with social tools and analytics such as Brandwatch, Facebook Insights, Sprout Social, Google Analytics and more, etc.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and be able to handle multiple projects at any given time
  • Basic MS Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting or presentations purposes
  • A positive, can-do attitude that you can tackle anything thrown your way. You are excited by figuring out things you've never done before.
  • At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $115,000 - $125,000. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER's total compensation package.
