Summary
The Project Manager will work cross functionally within the organization to manage and support all project management initiatives with primary focus on the delivery of the organization's Critical Priorities. This role will work closely with the Operations Support Department in responding to organizational needs, including, prioritization of projects, resources and budget commitment, progress tracking and measurement of return on investment. Collaborate closely with and leverage resources within operations, customer service, finance, compliance, IT and HR to drive company-wide initiatives and department projects.

Job Description
- Coordinate and collaborate with senior leaders to support the prioritization and sequencing of programs and projects in the context of the overall project portfolio and the relevant business strategies.
- Work closely with Project Owners to develop the project charter, budget and schedule. Once the project has been approved, assist and support project owners as needed with project planning, progress tracking and results monitoring.
- Manage all stakeholders involved with project to stay on schedule and within budget.
- Provide project support to the organization through frameworks, methodologies, best practices, templates and tools.
- Promote and enforce a high level of engagement in accomplishing project deliverables resulting in exceeding the expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop measurements for tracking progress, improvements, return on investment and adherence to budget and schedule.
- Facilitate the inter-departmental meetings.
- Maintain a project document repository.
- Perform other duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering
- 5+ years of project and portfolio management experience in an operations and service based organization, preferably in the waste management industry
- Expert knowledge of Process Improvement techniques and methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to drive and manage change
- Excellent communication skills across all levels
- Excellent collaboration and ability to build internal and external relationships
- Able to effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and MS Project
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or MS Engineering
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Six Sigma/Lean certification or experience.
- Agile Project Management certifications or experience.
- Waste industry experience
