We are now looking for a Director of Ad Operations. The Director of Ad Operations will be responsible for the direct and PG ad operations of The Guardian US. The ideal candidate has proven experience with ad trafficking, reporting, and creative troubleshooting. The candidate should have extensive experience in GAM and management experience.

We are now looking for a Director of Ad Operations. The Director of Ad Operations will be responsible for the direct and PG ad operations of The Guardian US. The ideal candidate has proven experience with ad trafficking, reporting, and creative troubleshooting. The candidate should have extensive experience in GAM and management experience.

Core responsibilities
- Implementation and management of US based advertising campaigns to ensure timely and consistent delivery; Understanding campaign-specific KPI's used to shape optimization priorities and tactics; Enter and manage insertion orders within internal sales operations systems
- Comprehension of complete product portfolio and specs/capabilities associated with each; Expertise in GAM campaign management and inventory management protocols
- Generate and review weekly advertiser campaign reports to track performance against guarantee; Proactive daily analysis and campaign optimization; Troubleshoot targeting issues, resolve any traffic issues and reconcile discrepancies
- Troubleshoot ad delivery issues and implement solutions, working closely with planners and account managers to ensure client satisfaction
- Traffic on all devices, including desktop, iPhone, iPad and android; Test of all ad creative for compliance with site specifications as well as functionality; Verify all targeting and technical integrations for campaigns; Perform the day-to-day ad placement, scheduling and updates for customers, including rich media ad placements
- Work with the account management on soliciting creative from agencies/clients per established specs; Partner with account management/sales to troubleshoot delivery issues and optimize campaign performance based on client goals
- Work with account management on monthly billing reconciliation process by ensuring accurate delivery information is updated prior to invoicing
- Self-manage tasks / schedule for effective and efficient time management

About you
- Ability to multitask, and work efficiently within a high-paced changing environment

- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong Excel skills - knows pivot and V look ups
- Strong written and communication skills=
- Able to interact comfortably with both clients and other internal departments
- Expert-level knowledge of Google Ad Manager (GAM)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Proficiency with spreadsheet software for modeling and forecasting
- Experience with programmatic advertising platforms
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in ambiguous situations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Core skills
- 5+ years of experience in digital advertising operations, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
- Deep understanding of digital advertising ecosystem, including ad serving technologies, programmatic advertising, ad exchanges, and data management platforms. Specifically, Google Ad Manager.
- BA/BS preferred
- Experience working with publishers preferred

- Salary: $130,000 - 150,000 with commercial incentive
- 20 days of vacation leave in addition to 12 company holidays and 2 personal days
