Job Title: Sr. National Project Manager HVAC/IoT
Summary:
The Senior National Project Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and executing HVAC projects from initiation to completion. This includes overseeing the design, installation, maintenance, and performance of HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, and residential facilities. The role demands excellent project management, leadership skills, and HVAC technical expertise to ensure timely delivery, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Execution:
o Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for HVAC
projects.
o Manage the project lifecycle from initiation through design, procurement,
installation, commissioning, and close-out.
o Ensure all projects meet technical specifications, safety standards, and client
expectations.
o Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
2. Teamwork:
o Work cross functionally with the team of project managers, engineers, and HVAC technicians.
o Provide collaboration, mentorship and support to the team.
3. Client and Stakeholder Management:
o Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring effective
communication and satisfaction throughout the project.
o Collaborate with stakeholders, including contractors, architects, engineers,
and vendors to ensure project objectives are met.
o Conduct regular project status meetings with internal and external
stakeholders.
4. Budget & Resource Management:
o Prepare, review, and manage project budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.
o Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best pricing and
delivery schedules.
o Monitor project resources, including materials, equipment, and workforce, to
optimize efficiency.
5. Quality & Compliance:
o Ensure HVAC systems are designed and installed according to industry
regulations, codes, and environmental standards.
o Oversee quality control and inspections to ensure project deliverables meet
specified standards.
6. Documentation & Reporting:
o Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, change
orders, RFIs (Request for Information), and project reports.
o Prepare regular reports on project status, including financial performance,
timeline adherence, and any risks or issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Educational Background:
o Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related
field.
• Experience:
o Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in HVAC project management, with at
least 2 years in a senior leadership role.
o Proven experience managing complex, large-scale HVAC projects in
commercial, industrial, or institutional settings.
• Technical Knowledge:
o Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, controls, and technologies.
o Familiarity with local and national building codes, energy efficiency standards,
and environmental regulations.
• Skills:
o Strong leadership and management skills.
o Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk
management.
o Strong communication and negotiation skills.
o Ability to resolve conflicts and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
