Title: Sr Director of National Projects
Reports to: SVP of National Projects
Position Summary:
The Director of National Projects is the overall program manager National Projects, the department within Crete United that executes HVAC and IoT projects for our National Accounts. The Director of National Projects is responsible for the effective execution across the portfolio of multiple, large, complex HVAC projects end-to-end, including the management of a team of project managers, subcontractors, and client representatives, and communication and reporting.

Position Summary:

The Director of National Projects is responsible for the effective execution across the portfolio of multiple, large, complex HVAC projects end-to-end, including the management of a team of project managers, subcontractors, and client representatives, and communication and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Program management of the portfolio of concurrent HVAC projects
- Management of project scope, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget
- Manage, coach, and develop team of project managers
- Develop and manage communication platform for both internal & external stakeholders to receive regular updates
- Implement scalable best practices and tools for project management
- Collaborate with senior leadership to enable scale & ability to meet growth expectations
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, vendors, and industry partners
- Develop and execute internal communications for program status and health of the portfolio, including executive dashboards and weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting for both the National Projects team and Crete leadership
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in HVAC project management, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience managing large-scale commercial or industrial HVAC projects.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, industry trends, and regulatory standards.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, and process improve. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
- Strategic thinking and business acumen.
- Expertise in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
