Master Flo Valve Inc.is currently seeking a full-time permanent General Manager, Canadian Operations based in Edmonton, AB.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Canadian based corporate goals are achieved,
  • Recommend and implement short- and long-term strategies that will position MFV for continued growth and optimization of shareholder value.
  • Deliver budgeted profit and loss commitments.
  • Direct the MFV Edmonton Management Team in the execution of their functions.
  • Develop, oversee, monitor, and address key performance indicators.
  • Liaise closely with Sales Executives.


Key position requirements will include the following:

  • Establish strategic objectives for own position, as well as reporting employees.
  • Develop a high degree of competence on the Master Flo product line.
  • Ensure tactical objectives are achieved.
  • Advise the President MFV on a regular basis with respect to Company performance, current issues, and opportunities.
  • Expand key performance indicators related to all functions within scope of the position, monitor progress, highlight deficiencies, and implement corrective action.
  • Oversee the ongoing development of effective and efficient systems in support of company operations.
  • Set budgets and define financial targets for all aspects of the business unit.
  • Ensure the company-wide implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Maintain positive customer relations.
  • Promote continuous improvement and lean initiatives throughout the Company.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure all Company operations are conducted in a manner that protects the safety of employees.
  • Foster positive inter-departmental communication, cooperation, and a culture committed to positive results.
  • Support MFV President by completing Board reports, and as requested, present to the Board.
  • Provide leadership and maintain regular and positive employee communication.


Qualification & Experience Requirements:

  • University graduate from a related program (Engineering, Business, Accounting).
  • A proven track record for providing strategic vision and direction.
  • Industry and product specific experience are strong assets.
  • Strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills, particularly with the ability to direct and influence and build consensus within Executive team and senior managers.
  • Ability to identify and monitor key performance indicators.
  • Ability to create accountability and commitment towards achieving objectives.
  • Excellent analytical skills, particularly with respect to finance and accounting.
  • A proven track record for integrity and delivering on commitments.
  • Well-developed customer relations skills.
  • Minimum 10 years senior/strategic management experience.
  • A commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Ability to travel.
