Amentum is now hiring for a Model-Based Systems Engineer (All Levels) - CSIA position in support of the Cyber Security & Information Assurance (CSIA) Support Services office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and Ft Belvoir, VA. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment CSIA core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of CSIA and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within CSIA.

The candidate will work closely with the client to perform the following:
  • Provides model-based systems engineering (MBSE) support for clients' development as part of enterprise architecture.
  • Develops and coordinates MBSE architecture model and initiatives that support clients.
  • Collaborates with clients' engineers to capture system behavior and structure; reviews and analyzes system requirements, behaviors, and structures; identifies integration issues, system requirement discrepancies, and impacts to appropriate requirements and/or design specifications across multiple systems; and recommends potential enhancements to the system.
  • Analyzes all levels of the total systems product including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Supports system specification updates and associated performance enhancements, interface development, and upgrade efforts.
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies.
  • Has experience in creating and applying simulation models that allow manipulation of variables as defined by customer using a variety of modeling and simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of software modeling and device characterization, hard and soft modeling development, parametric testing, and measurement automation.
  • Has experience in the construction of simulations to customer specifications.
  • Establishes and satisfies complex system-wide modeling requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands.
  • Supports customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies.
  • Coordinates with senior representatives within the customer organization to establish and define programs, resources, and risks.
  • Applies expertise to Government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized modeling features and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific /technical discipline.
  • 1-10+ years' experience.
  • 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
  • Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a TOP SECRET Clearance.


Compensation:

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $75,000 - $250,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.).
