As the Hospital Administrator you will be at the helm of our multi-specialty practice, responsible for coordination of day-to-day operations and working with leadership, onsite and regional, to lead a diverse team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff. The perfect candidate will have experience leading veterinary teams and an understanding of the demanding nature of emergency and specialty medicine. They will work collaboratively with our current leadership team onsite to lead and execute plans for the overall success of our hospital. Success in this role is measured by excellent hospital culture, healthy business metrics, and a positive hospital reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead and inspire a team of specialists, technicians, and support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement.
- Work alongside current hospital leadership to support each specialty teams unique needs
- Ensuring effective communication, conflict resolution, and mutual respect.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve team dynamics, productivity, and job satisfaction.
- Operations Management:
- Oversee all operational aspects of the practice to ensure efficiency and excellence in patient care.
- Monitor and manage the success of the practice, client satisfaction, and staff retention.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with the regional team to set financial goals, monitor progress, and make data-driven decisions.
- Client Relations:
- Uphold the practice’s reputation for excellence in client service, ensuring that all client interactions are handled with professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail.
- Address and resolve any client concerns or complaints, working to enhance the overall client experience.
- Professional Development:
- Identify opportunities for staff development and continuing education, ensuring that the team remains at the forefront of veterinary medicine.
- Mentor and support the growth of team members, helping them to achieve their professional goals.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a multi-specialty or large veterinary practice.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and leading diverse teams, especially in high-pressure environments.
- Strong background in specialty veterinary medicine, with a deep understanding of the operational and clinical challenges unique to this field.
- Skills:
- Exceptional emotional intelligence, with the ability to lead, inspire, and manage
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and make informed decisions quickly.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, clients, and external partners.
- Financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Veterinary Science, or a related field encouraged.
