POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Manufacturing Manager directs all aspects of the production process, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and on-time delivery. This role involves managing equipment, materials, and personnel to meet production targets and maintain the highest quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Oversee plant operations to ensure efficient, safe, and quality production of MicroCare products.
  2. Collaborate with the Senior Vice President, Engineering, and Maintenance to implement process improvements, maximize output, and minimize costs.
  3. Partner with departments to ensure production schedules meet customer demand, adjusting for fluctuations in demand, resources, and equipment performance.
  4. Work closely with the Scheduling Manager to ensure production targets are met safely and efficiently maximizing manufacturing up-time.
  5. Lead, mentor, and motivate the production team, fostering talent development through the Excellence Initiative.
  6. Monitor production metrics to ensure efficiency and quality, presenting KPIs and production records to leadership.
  7. Contribute to budget development, focusing on labor and material costs.
  8. Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
  9. Ensure products meet quality specifications, addressing nonconformances promptly.
  10. Lead initiatives to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and improve product quality.
  11. Allocate resources effectively to optimize the use of equipment and assets.
  12. Oversee installation, maintenance, and operation of manufacturing equipment, ensuring safety and proper function.
  13. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, cGMPs, SOPs, and maintain safety and environmental standards.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES/EXPERIENCE:
  • Strong operational skills with a focus on efficiency and safety
  • Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and develop solutions
  • Expertise in safety protocols, regulations (OSHA, EPA), and risk assessment
  • Proven leadership with the ability to motivate a diverse team
  • Technical understanding of chemical manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Knowledge of hazmat and environmental regulations
  • Excellent communication skills and aptitude for troubleshooting

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • 7+ years in senior leadership role in manufacturing environment
  • Proven track record of implementing manufacturing /operations efficiency programs i.e.: lean manufacturing
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Industrial Manufacturing, related field or equally matching tenure from similar industry
  • Prior knowledge of chemical manufacturing/packaging processes equipment and technology and related FDA, EPA, DOT, OSHA mandates
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience establishing, tracking and improving key performance indicators in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office, ERP and general computer knowledge
