The ideal candidatewill havethe ability to install, assemble, and repair valves and gauges to comply withcustomer orders. In addition to assemblyduties, this person will also have responsibility for maintaining theproduction area. A clean drivingrecord is required. Responsibilities forthe Valve Assembly Technician

1. Read and interpret schematicdrawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, or reports to determinematerials requirements or assembly instructions.

2. Assembles valves to customizedrequests from customers while working with sales team to execute an efficientand accurate order.

3. Adjust, repair, or replace componentparts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.

4. Position, align or adjust workpiecesor parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.

5. Be able to explain and interpretassembly procedures or techniques to co-workers as needed.

6. Record maintenance information,including test results, material usage and repairs made.

7. Disassemble and repair mechanicalcontrol devices or values.

8. Lubricate parts as assembling to preventwearing surfaces of mechanical parts.

9. Calibrate instrumentation, such asmeters, gauges and regulators for pressure, temperature, flow, and level asrequested or needed.

10. Inspect, operate and test completedproducts to verify functioning, machine capabilities or conformance to customerspecifications.

Requirements for the ValveAssembly Technician

  • Must be mechanically and technically inclined.
  • Must be willing and able to stand, walk, bend, and move for long periods of time.
  • Prefer 3 years' experience in troubleshooting and equipment repairs including electrical, flow, level, pressure, temperature and all facets of analytical instrumentation and applications.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Associate degree in technical field or equivalent work experience preferred.
