Weare seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join ouresteemed team at our Indianapolis location. The successful candidate will leadand optimize our inside sales function, enhancing customer interactions anddriving business growth.
Position Overview
TheInside Sales Manager will be responsible for leading a team of 20-25technically degreed, or experienced equivalent, engineers and coordinating thedistribution of work for all Inside Sales Teams by collaborating with TeamLeads. This role requires a strategic thinker who can foster customerengagement and steer business in the company's best interests.
Key Responsibilities
• Team Leadership: Effectively manage, mentor, and develop a team ofengineers, with a focus on nurturing future leaders, Team Leads and insidesales managers.
• Sales Optimization: Guide the team in expanding the commercialside of the business by improving customer interactions and proactivelyaddressing potential questions or roadblocks.
• Customer Engagement: Actively engage with customers to gain acomprehensive understanding of their processes and needs, aiming to become atrusted partner.
• Strategic Planning: Plan, direct, and coordinate the distributionof work for all Inside Sales Teams through proper utilization of Team Leads.
• Performance Management: Implement data-driven coaching andanalytical approaches to empower team members and drive results.
• Business Acumen: Understand pricing margins and the impact ofdiscounting on company strategy.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related technicalfield preferred.
• 5-7 years of comparable work experience in inside or outsidesales.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience managing a team of salesprofessionals.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a demonstrable trackrecord of developing team members.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasison listening and effective message delivery.
• Technical aptitude to understand unique product functions andcompetencies.
• Analytical skills for data-driven decision making and coaching.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Valid Indiana Driver's License.
Work Environment andTravel
• Full-time position based in our Indianapolis office,Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
• Salary exempt position, with occasional evening and weekend workas required.
• Some overnight travel required (approximately 15-20%) withpotential customer site visits during normal work hours.
