About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Global Trade Finance within its Global Transaction Banking division. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing client-centric trade finance solutions, with a focus on removing payment risk and facilitating working capital. This role involves heavy interaction with internal and external partners, including the origination team, and requires a deep understanding of traditional trade finance products. The candidate will also be expected to support the strategic needs of the business, act as a trusted advisor to clients, and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures. Applicants for this role should be detail-oriented, client-centric, and possess a strong background in credit structuring, execution, and risk management. A minimum of 7 years of direct trade finance experience within a major financial institution is required, along with a proven track record in credit origination and facility structuring. The role demands excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team. A proactive attitude, the ability to manage sophisticated relationships, and a strong capacity for leadership are essential. The candidate should also have a relevant undergraduate degree, with an MBA and/or CFA being a plus, and be willing to travel within North America.
