Customer Instructor Job Description:
This position is for a dynamic and independently motivated candidate to all tasks associated with curriculum development and training conduct. The candidate will create and/or edit all required training materials as well as technical documents. The candidate must be able to communicate technical specifications and instructions clearly and effectively to a wide range of audiences. The customer instructor acquires system subject knowledge and expertise through system familiarization, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, and engineering illustrations, hands-on operation, and by interviewing product developers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, development of instructor led training and course content, identifying student learning objectives, preparation of course syllabi, lesson plans, testing, development of student manuals and the evaluation and quality assurance of training.
Customer Instructor Required Skills:
• Extensive experience and top-level qualifications with IT-related systems
• Technical instruction expertise with ability to impart knowledge, skills, and understanding of the system to customers and contractors.
• Must be self-motivated to complete all administrative and reporting tasks on time.
• Must be a confident public speaker and have excellent written communications skills.
• Proficient in the MS Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Excellent networking skills and ability to communicate with people at varying professional levels.
• Candidates must be U.S. citizens able to obtain and keep a Top Secret level security clearance.
Customer Instructor Highly Desirable Skills:
• Ability to write using clear and concise language that adheres to customer-established standards and conventions. Knowledge of the English language, grammar usage, and composition.
• Ability to learn system hardware and software changes using engineering documentation and notes, working with software and hardware engineers, and working with engineering prototypes.
• Ability to write technical content for procedure manuals, service manuals, and related technical publications that describe the operation and maintenance of electronic, electrical, mechanical, and other equipment.
• Ability to define required graphics, photographs, tables, figures, and engineering drawings and/or create graphic materials using basic photography and graphic applications such as PowerPoint and Photoshop.
• Experience in planning and conducting training for product end-users and stakeholders.
Customer Instructor Additional Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with at least five (5) years of professional experience.
• Proactive self-starter. Task driven with ability to work independently.
• Team player that takes ownership and develops relationships that fosters team success.
Job: 40 hours/week, onsite
Travel: Position requires travel to other locations as needed. Overall travel is estimated at 20-25%.
