The Senior Marketing Communications Account Manager for the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia will oversee strategic marketing and communications efforts to strengthen community engagement and advance the Federation's mission. You will manage a diverse portfolio of programs, events, and campaigns, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and community partners to develop comprehensive, integrated strategies that highlight the Federation's impact and drive donor and community engagement.
Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia operates a hybrid work environment. Staff are expected to be in the office two days a week, and the Marketing Department is in the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management: Serve as the marketing and communications liaison between various departments within the Jewish Federation, understanding their objectives and delivering tailored marketing strategies that support fundraising, events, and community outreach goals.
- Campaign Development and Execution: Lead the creation, planning, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that promote the Jewish Federation's programs, community events, philanthropic initiatives, and partnerships. Ensure consistent messaging across digital, social, print, and media channels.
- Project Management: Manage multiple ongoing projects for key campaigns, including annual fundraising drives, emergency campaigns (such as the Philly Stands With Israel initiative), and community engagement programs. Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet stakeholder expectations.
- Content Strategy and Development: Collaborate with content, creative, and PR teams to develop storytelling and content strategies that highlight the impact of the Jewish Federation's initiatives and resonate with diverse audiences. Oversee content creation for newsletters, social media, website updates, and press materials.
- Digital Marketing: Lead the development and execution of digital marketing strategies, including the management of social media platforms to drive engagement, grow followers, and increase brand visibility. Oversee website development and updates, ensuring seamless user experience, strong SEO performance, and alignment with organizational goals. Collaborate with internal teams and external developers to maintain and optimize website content and functionality, improving traffic and overall digital presence.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing efforts, using data analytics to track KPIs, such as donor engagement, social media reach, and event participation. Provide actionable insights to improve future campaigns and increase community impact.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with the Jewish Federation leaders, lay partners, and community organizations. Regularly present campaign strategies, performance updates, and recommendations to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior marketing staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns. Foster a collaborative, mission-driven environment that encourages creativity and accountability.
- Budget Management: Manage budgets for assigned projects, ensuring that resources are used efficiently and expenses are tracked accurately. Work closely with leadership to optimize marketing spend and align efforts with strategic priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in marketing or communications, with at least 2 years in an account management or client-facing role.
- Prior experience in nonprofit marketing, community engagement, or Jewish communal work is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of integrated marketing communications, including digital marketing, social media, content creation, and PR.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences. Proficient in AP style.
- Proficient in marketing analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot) and CRM systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and priorities.
- Experience working with lay leadership or volunteer-driven organizations is a plus.
- Familiarity with the Philadelphia Jewish community or Jewish communal organizations.
- Experience in fundraising or donor-centric communications.
- Certifications in marketing tools or project management (e.g., HubSpot certification, PMP).
