Farmersville is a small incorporated community with a population of 11,900 located between Visalia and Exeter in eastern Tulare County. The community is located about 36 miles from the entrance to Sequoia National Park and about 90 miles from Yosemite, which offers some of the state's finest mountain and recreational areas. Driving to the west two hours, the ocean provides a complete change of scenery.
The major industry in the area is agriculture, which includes dairy production, citrus, grapes, cotton, corn, grain, tree fruit, and alfalfa hay for beef cattle.

Farmersville's first school house was built at the southwest corner of the Four Corners. It was a two story building with the classrooms on the first floor, and a community room on the second for meetings and dances in 1869. It was torn down and a new school was built at the present day Snowden Elementary site. That schoolhouse was replaced in 1951.

Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the school principal or assigned certificated district
employee, assists the music program by playing the piano as needed for school functions,
including evening, weekend, concerts, competitions and performances.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education and Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalent GED.
• One year of experience as an accompanist to soloists and choral groups.
• Piano training, experience and capability; musical training that allows for successful performance as an accompanist.
Comments and Other Information
• Accompany soloists and choral groups during rehearsals and performances.
• Accompany and assist choirs at school and District functions.
• Correct vocal harmonies during practice and encourage student involvement and participation.
• Drill and tutor individuals or small groups of students in vocal exercises.
• Transpose and transcribe music as directed.
• Duplicate and make audio recordings of vocal parts for choir use.
