Key Position Details * Position Type: Locum Tenens * Location: Near Grass Valley, CA * Specialty: Interventional Radiology * Facility Type: General Acute Care Hospital * Start Date: December 1, 2024 * Bid Due Date: November 6, 2024, 5 PM EST * Shift Schedule: 8 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional night call * Weekend Requirements: Yes * On-Call Requirements: Yes, but low likelihood of being called in Required Skills & Certifications * Licensing: Active California Medical License required * Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology * Additional Certifications: BLS, CA Fluoroscopy, and DEA license * Preferred Experience: Clean malpractice history is highly desired Role Responsibilities * Provide coverage for interventional radiology needs and stroke-related imaging. * Primary Procedures: Thoracentesis, Paracentesis, Nephrostomy tubes, Intra-abdominal abscess drainage, chest tubes, suprapubic catheters, CT/US-guided biopsies, and lumbar punctures. * Imaging Duties: Stroke CTs, ICU, and ED imaging studies. Daily studies include CT, X-ray, ultrasound, and MRI. Daily Volume * Studies per Day: Approximately 50 studies, including: * CTs: 15-20 * X-rays: 15-20 * Ultrasounds: 10 * MRIs: 5 * IR Procedures: 5-8 Support and Tools * Support Staff: Diagnostic imaging nurses and radiology techs on-site * EMR System: Cerner Credentialing Requirements * Documentation Needed: Updated CV, provider's NPI or license number, availability, and malpractice history.
