HR Generalist

General Overview: The HR Generalist reports to the Regional HR Manager acting as a trusted resource across all field divisions of Alpine Silica.

This position will provide broad HR support including but not limited to Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, and Employee Relations.

Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition & Retention
  • Partner with business leaders and members of Human Resources to execute Talent Acquisition program.
  • Provide ongoing talent acquisition support to the business including managing high-volume recruitment across multiple plant locations.
Onboarding
  • Coordinate with Human Resources team and local plant leaders regarding new hire orientation.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordination of all pre-hire requirements to ensure consistent start dates are met.
Employee Relations
  • Receive employee complaints/grievances and coordinate with Regional HR Manager to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Provide information to local managers and employee population regarding policies and disciplinary action process.
  • Assist in compliance tasks to ensure all company locations are complaint with relevant local, state, and national laws.
Other
  • Participate in training sessions for HR Specialists, Office Administrators, and Leadership.
Other Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 3+ years experience in Human Resources required with proven experience working with large employee population or matrixed management structures.
  • Experience and proficiency utilizing HRIS/ATS systems for various activities including but not limited to Recruiting, Onboarding, and Payroll.
  • Experience hosting new hire orientation/training or partnering with learning & development teams preferred.
  • HRCI, SHRM, or other professional certifications preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Lifting, bending, squatting, climbing continuously.
  • Requires consistent travelling between multiple locations.
