Job Highlights
- Increase sales and profitability by broadening use of VELCORIN and NAGARDO at non-alcoholic beverage customers, gaining new accounts and building new markets. Develop and implement lead generation strategies for building and maintaining a new customer sales funnel.
- Develop new business opportunities through associations and beverage organizations.
- Conduct customer visits and document properly using CRM, negotiate commercial terms of business and provide technical insights/ Technical consultant to the customer in regard to beverage stabilizing technologies, plant hygiene, sanitation and process control.
- Forecast sales, reconcile variances and achieve turnover budget.
- Gather market intelligence as to what products are used in which applications, pricing of those products, and potential volumes required by potential customers. Work with multi-functional teams to represent the "voice of the customer" and/or customer needs. Attend fairs, trade shows/society events, internal group meetings, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Science (preferred in Food Science) is required. Comparable equivalent sales experience may be considered.
- Proven experience of at least 5 years in field sales and/or marketing of food ingredients, cleaning and disinfectant agents, filters or similar supplies to the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage industry. Extensive technical knowledge in the beverage industry.
- Excellent communication skills. Must be able to express ideas / information clearly, concisely and use active listening skills.
- Must be able to work productively with others and seek opportunities to bring people together.
- Excellent persuasion and negotiation skills. Ability to gain acceptance of ideas through communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to self-manage and operate independently. Must be able to manage time well while maintaining communication with the team.
- Must be computer proficient with expertise in the use of Microsoft office software packages.
- Extensive travel is required for this position (more than 80%) with overnight stays. Travel is mostly domestic, on occasion may be international.
