Team Description

The Sales Frontline and Capabilities is a key function within the Go-To-Market team. Our goal is to enable our Sales team to deliver Best in Class Execution for our customers through three key priorities.

1) Time: Optimize our selling time in front of our customers with a structured process and digital tools.

2) Focus: Provide clarity and focus on key drivers and levers for activation

3) Capabilities: Upskill our people to transform our business and drive organic growth

Manager, Sales Capabilities

A critically important role, the Manager reports into the Director Frontline + Sales Capabilities as the champion field sales capabilities. The Manager will lead a transformational agenda aimed at ensuring we maintain our leadership as a world-class, customer-first team that drives organic growth for our company and our category.

This role is based out of our Toronto Office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Canada Sales learning and development program to enhance the knowledge, skills and behaviors of the entire sales organisation, championing digital integration and embedding basic selling skill techniques.
  • Partner with People and Global Frontline teams to define the overall capability agenda for Field Sales and on content creation
  • Facilitate and lead learning engagements with teams and functional groups.
  • Create a training schedule for our District Sales Managers to enable an always on approach to learning and development.
  • Spend time in market with field sales team to understand learning and development journey, capabiltities opportunities, and performance
  • Manage vendor partner relationships to build Learning and Development modules


Qualifications:
  • University Degree in Business or related field preferred
  • Must be bilingual (French)
  • A minimum 5 years in Field Sales, ideally with experience across multiple roles.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional sales principles and practices
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with keen business acumen
  • Track record of successfully delivering results across organizational boundaries
  • Proven ability to establish and leverage credibility and rapport with peers and senior executives across disciplines, levels and geographies
  • Strong facilitation and program delivery skills
  • Empathetic, patient and open-minded to needs and viewpoints of others in order to build and support team collaboration and a variety of growth & development styles/techniques
  • Clear demonstration of understanding 'acting as an owner' and living it. Assertive, and feels confident to respectfully challenge existing processes or ways of working
  • Some domestic travel required
