Overview:

Ogilvy NA is looking for a Senior Production Business Manager to join our team. The Production Business Manager will support the production department to increase the efficiency, quality, and daily output of the content team. As a Senior Production Business Manager, you will manage the business aspects, including SAG & non-Union talent, of content production across broadcast, digital, social and print.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist Director of Business Affairs with department policies and procedures development and implementation.
  • Manage the business aspects of content production across broadcast, digital, social and print
  • Provide advice and direction on production related issues, specifically talent, and legal to content producers, creative and account team members
  • Advise agency teams on production tax incentive programs and SAG waivers
  • Work with client specific production guidelines and cost consultants to receive approval on production budgets
  • Work as team member with content producers on bidding and estimating production jobs
  • Generate production estimates, production contracts, issue purchase orders and approve vendor invoices through agency system.
  • Supply producers with all needed documents for productions - insurance declaration pages, talent contracts etc.
  • Secure license agreements for stock images, stock footage and stock music.
  • Issue music purchase agreements and music license agreements and experience with high profile music licensing
  • Authorize talent session payments
  • Issue final talent cast reports
  • Finalize production job and submit final actual costs to cost consultants and/or account team in order to close job
  • Assist in pro-bono and award submissions when needed
  • Search rights holders for intellectual property licensing and negotiate terms for their usage
  • Contact music publishers and negotiate Master and Synch license agreements with them for published music deals
  • Ensure celebrity and influencer deals are properly routed and any union implications are conveyed to account
  • Work with producers on any issues that require resolution (i.e. questions about bidding, client mandates, union regulations, best production practices)
Qualifications:
  • Six years of experience working as a production business affairs manager.
  • Experience negotiating overscale/celebrity talent contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with the SAG commercials contract rules/rates for talent session estimating and experience with non-union talent, including foreign talent
  • Experience with broadcast and integrated marketing
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple assignments
  • Collaborative team player with ability to build and maintain solid relationships with clients, all internal teams, and external agency partners
  • Be able to learn and work well in finance software and its functions
  • Be agile with changing timelines & deliverables
  • Dedicated work ethic and displays a thorough attention to detail
  • Work to ensure projects stay on-time and are delivered properly
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word and Excel, and Outlook Express

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Pay Range

$75,000 - $180,000 USD
