PSI Pax, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Analyst to join our team in support of our government customer in St. Inigoes, MD and Telework.
Duties & Responsibilities: In support of our NAWCAD customers, the PSI Pax Senior Data Analyst will develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software. The analyst will apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets. The senior analyst will visualize, interpret, and report data findings to create dynamic data reports and dashboards, and work collaboratively with stakeholders to investigate, analyze, and use predictive modeling to inform data decisions. The analyst will apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets. The senior analyst will visualize, interpret, and report data findings to create dynamic data reports and dashboards, and work collaboratively with stakeholders to investigate, analyze, and use predictive modeling to inform data decisions. Specific duties include:
- Mine and analyze data from various databases to drive optimization and improvement of decision support.
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
- Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
- Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences and operational outcomes.
- Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
- Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
- Applies analytic techniques in the evaluation of project objectives and contributes to the implementation of strategic direction.
- Performs analyst functions including data collection, interviewing, data modeling, project testing, and creation of performance measurements to support project objectives.
- A senior level person typically works on high-visibility, or mission-critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently.
- A senior level person may oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
Required Qualifications:
- At least ten (10) years of experience.
- Of the required ten (10) years of experience, at least four (4) years of the required experience must be in data visualization software.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate and plan projects and generate analytics tools, processes, deliverables, direct execution, and collaborate with customers and staff.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and organize data to provide meaningful information to various teams and stake holders within the organization.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to obtain Secret level clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Qlik).
- Familiarity with SharePoint Online (SPO).
Education Requirements:
- Master's Degree; OR
- BS or BA degree plus an additional four (4) years of relevant work experience beyond the required experience.
