Rotoflow® is a full-service turbomachinery OEM - providing a wide-range of new equipment solutions and aftermarket services to our customers globally. For over 75 years, Rotoflow® has designed and manufactured both standard and custom-engineered cryogenic and warm gas centrifugal turbomachinery used in market segments such as industrial gases, petrochemicals, and hydrocarbons. Products include compressor loaded turbo-expanders, generator-loaded power recovery expanders, and low-cost dissipative expanders. We offer new equipment designs, rerates, upgrades and repair along with field services, engineering evaluations, reliability, troubleshooting, training, remote diagnostics/data monitoring, shop services, and new equipment replacements for all types of centrifugal and reciprocating equipment. Our customers are served globally through regional service centers supported by both regional and centralized execution teams.

We are seeking a Packaging/Auxiliary Systems Engineer responsible for the design, development, and integration of turbomachinery auxiliary systems at our headquarters in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
  • Work with customer to integrate equipment into process,
  • Perform safety and operability design reviews,
  • Collaborate with various subject areas to finalize equipment designs,
  • Select equipment components and materials,
  • Select/design the lubrication systems,
  • Standardize the auxiliary systems design to drive cost reduction,
  • Customer and supplier interface,
  • Check and approve drawings,
  • Support bid estimates,
  • Perform stress analysis using proprietary tools and FEA,
  • Execution of specification and code compliant projects,
  • Test, troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis (RCA) of equipment,
  • Work on new product development,
  • Develop, standardize, and evaluate new design tools for implementation,
  • Drive cost reductions and competitiveness across execution and product offerings,
  • Provide technical mentorship and leadership,
  • Improve efficiency of designed equipment,
  • Improve work processes,
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership,
  • Set standards for execution,
  • Motivate, lead, encourage, and inspire your team,
  • Challenge norms with alternate solutions rooted in engineering fundamentals,

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Technical Degree: BSME, related degree or relative experience designing packaged equipment and auxiliary systems,
  • 2D CAD and 3D modeling and simulation a plus,
  • Advanced FEA capabilities a plus,
  • Fluid film bearing, gas bearing, magnetic bearing, hydrostatic bearing and rolling element bearing system applications and design experience a plus,
  • Equipment start up and plant integration a plus,
  • Machinery testing, data acquisition and data evaluation a plus,
  • Programming skills: VB, C#, C+, Python, Matlab, Fortran or similar languages a plus,
  • Detail-oriented, goal oriented, organized, creative, self-motivated, collaborative and customer focused,
  • Exemplify a passion for winning and ability to motivate teams,
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (written, verbal and presentation),
  • Excellent analytical, creativity, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly,
  • Excellent time management skills,
