The NYC office of Lippes Mathias LLP is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team with focus in the Litigation related to Intellectual Property Law. We are seeking a self-starting candidate with superior organizational skills to support several attorneys in the practice group. The successful candidate will support the team in reviewing and processing legal documents and assisting with matters related to litigation.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Assist in the formatting/drafting of legal documents
  • Monitor and update attorney and docket calendar(s)
  • File legal documents with the State and Federal Electronic Court Filing Systems including ITC Proceedings
  • Prepare memoranda for opening new matters
  • Create/maintain electronic directories
  • Create/maintain filing
  • Prepare and send out transmittal letters
  • Save, print, scan, and file all transmittal documents on each file
  • Delivery Requests when necessary


Our ideal Paralegal will have:
  • A minimum 5 years' experience as a Litigation Paralegal, preferably with intellectual property
  • Accurate typing speed of 65+ wpm
  • General office and computer experience
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Reliable attendance
  • Experience with editing, revising and drafting of legal documents
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal court rules
  • Working knowledge of Pacer Systems and ECF and ITC Proceedings Systems
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to complete projects with little direction
  • Ability to use discretion and handle confidential information
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce high quality work products
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Experience with document management systems such as ProLaw and iManage


Salary range DOE: $80,000-$100,000/year

The pay range provided in this listing is a good faith estimate for this position based on the location that we are hiring for. Criteria included but not limited to, skill level, education, and experience, will determine where a candidate falls within the range.
