SUMMARY:
The Director of Human Resources will lead the HR function for Exacta Systems. This position is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that support the overall Company business plan. These responsibilities include recruitment/talent management, employee relations and performance management, training, company benefits, Company policy and procedures, and other human resources functions.

The Director of Human Resources will lead the HR function for Exacta Systems. This position is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that support the overall Company business plan. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and overall workplace culture.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align HR policies with business goals.
- Participate in developing new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of departments and services performed.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across all locations.
- Manage employee relations issues, conduct HR Investigations and advise leadership on disciplinary actions.
- Oversee recruitment efforts for multi-state operations, ensuring efficient and effective hiring processes.
- Develop strategies and lead efforts for recruitment, talent retention, career development, and succession planning.
- Conduct New Hire Orientation and Exit Interviews.
- Administer Company compensation and performance evaluation programs.
- Oversee payroll processes and ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinates programs for continuous learning and professional development.
- Facilitate training sessions on HR policies, compliance, and leadership development.
- Foster a culture of learning and skill enhancement across the organization.
- Maintain HRIS records and compiles reports from database.
- Lead efforts to enhance employee satisfaction and engagement through effective communication and recognition programs.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor's Degree in HR preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive professional experience across HR disciplines, including employment, recruitment, benefits, compensation, employee relations, training and development, and workers compensation required.
- At least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing HR functions in a multi-state environment, preferably within the software or tech industry.
- Professional certification such as PHR or SPHR preferred.
- Ability to be licensed as an Employee by various racing and/or gaming jurisdictions in which the Company operates, as needed.
- Ability to travel, as needed.
- Must have experience handling employee relations issues, coaching, and conduction HR investigations.
- Strong understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations across multiple states.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills; including the ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization including the executive leadership team is required.
