SMX is seeking an Agile Coach (SAFe) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to directly support the Secretary of the Air Force/Concept Development Management Office (SAF/CDM), Mission Architecture Innovation directorate (CDMM). The organization oversees a portfolio of projects aimed at developing and implementing information systems to support a wide range of business and mission objectives.
This position requires a DoD TS/SCI clearance, mandating US citizenship for work on DoD contracts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the organization's adoption and implementation of SAFe practices.
- Provide expert guidance and coaching to drive successful SAFe transformation.
- Facilitate key SAFe ceremonies, including PI Planning, System Demos, Inspect and Adapt workshops, and Scrum of Scrums.
- Tailor SAFe methodologies to align with the department's specific needs.
- Train and mentor other SAFe Program Consultants (SPCs).
- Employ SAFe principles to ensure the timely and effective delivery of mission-critical projects.
- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
- Certified SAFe Program Consultant Trainer (SPCT)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in agile coaching and transformation
- Certified in SAFe for Government
- Proven expertise in all SPCT responsibilities as outlined by Scaled Agile
- Demonstrated experience implementing SAFe within a government or contracting environment
- Proficiency in utilizing Jira for SAFe implementation
- Exceptional facilitation, coaching, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Mandatory physical presence in the National Capital Region (NCR) at least quarterly for SAFe ceremonies
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Agile (Lean) implementation experience with other software accredited on the AFNET
- Proven track record of implementing SAFe within the DoD/Intelligence Community
- Additional Agile-related certifications and experience
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, complex, and dynamic environments
