Description

Supports Sales and sells manufactured products for manufacturers to water, wastewater, HVAC and industrial entities. Provides technical assistance, prices and quotes projects and interprets specifications and does take-offs by performing the following, but not limited to, duties.

Provides a strong customer support and exercises discretion and sound independent judgment on technical operation, maintenance, field application problems, and applications of products through assistance to manufacturers' representatives, engineers, distributors, plant operators, customers, or other professional and technical personnel. Interpret project plans and specifications to develop and prepare cost estimates. Interprets schematics and troubleshoots for customers and sales in offering solutions to issues. Executes special assignments with minimal supervision. Provides technical services to clients relating to use, operation, application, and maintenance of products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage large amounts of incoming phone calls and emails
  • Provide product and service information to customers
  • Identify and assess customers' needs to achieve satisfaction
  • Escalate queries and concerns to supervisors
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication
  • Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools
  • Handle customer complaints and provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution.


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (technical / Engineer) from a four-year college or university preferred.

  • 3-5 years related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong phone handling skills and active listening
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Proficient in Epicor / Kinetic ERP System preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understand plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training.
  • Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions.
  • Troubleshoot problems and report issues.
  • Must work well in a team environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to be on feet for up to 8-12 hours per shift.
  • Use of hands and fingers to perform job function.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend and climb.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
